Lord Rama was the seventh incarnation of Lord Vishnu. His birthday is celebrated as Ramnavami.

Ram Navami is a Hindu festival celebrating the birthday of Lord Rama, one of the incarnations of Lord Vishnu. Ram was born in a city of Ayodhya to a powerful king named Dashrath and one of his 3 wives, Kaushalya. Dashrath and Kaushalya in their prior lives of Manu and Shatrupa pleased the gods to receive a boon of bearing a child that becomes an example for mankind. And so the boon was granted in the form of Lord Rama. He lived a life of an ideal son, ideal brother, ideal king and an ideal husband and provided a blueprint to the entire human race.

His life has been documented in an epic called Ramayana.

The day is celebrated with prayers devoted to Lord Rama. Sameedh family is proud to offer some of those prayers below -

  1. Ram Raksha Stotra
  2. Shree Ram Chandra Krupalu

And how can you celebrate the holy day of Ram Navami without singing praise to his favorite disciple (bhakt) - Hanuman, whom he referred to as brother! Here are some prayers offered to Hanuman:

  1. Hanuman Chalisa
  2. Sankat Mochan Hanumanashtakam

With best wishes from Sameedh family.

Happy Ram Navami!
